Grassolind®, sterile

Grassolind® Sterile ointment dressings are specially developed to keep wound surfaces and edges supple during wound cleansing and to protect the wound from drying out. These dressings promote granulation and re-epithelialization and help to prevent disruptive scar contractures. The special nature of the ointment compresses ensures that they do not stick to the wound. The compresses consist of a wide-meshed cotton fabric that is permeable to air and secretions and impregnated with a neutral ointment. This ointment, which contains white vaseline, diglycerol esters of mono- and dicarboxylic fatty acids and synthetic wax, remains stable even with heavy exudation and is not washed out. The compresses can be easily cut to the desired size, which makes them particularly flexible to use, for example as a matrix for split skin grafts. The wide-meshed cotton fabric ensures good access of oxygen to the wound, which ensures effective ventilation and supports healing. These properties make Grassolind® sterile ointment dressings a valuable aid in dermatology and wound treatment in general.
